Welcome to the third course in the Casual Credit series.
Gold & Silver: An Introduction to Value, Currency, and Culture continues the core goal of this project: building clear, foundational understanding around topics that influence real-world decisions but are rarely taught in an accessible way.
Casual Credit is an ongoing library of structured, adult-level learning that spans personal finance, investing basics, culture, history, and media literacy. These courses are not about quick wins or shortcuts. They’re about slowing down, learning the fundamentals, and developing the language and context needed to think clearly.
I started this project because I’m a continual learner myself, and I kept noticing how often people are asked to make decisions — especially around money and value — without ever being given the chance to learn the basics properly. These courses are designed to close that gap without adding pressure or complexity.
Each class is built to fit into real life. Whether you’re balancing work, family, or other commitments, the structure is flexible by design. You can move at your own pace and focus on what’s most useful to you.
This course builds on the foundation laid in the previous classes and sets up future topics that will continue to explore value, decision-making, and cultural literacy.
As always, your feedback shapes what comes next. If you have ideas or suggestiosn for future courses or how to improve the format, I’d love to hear them:
Thanks for continuing to learn with Casual Credit
About Me
Hi, I’m Sara — a lifelong learner, traveler, and writer who believes curiosity should never stop. I love reading everything from contemporary literature tore-binging Rock of love, exploring new places, and finding fresh ways to bring creativity into daily life. At home, I share my days with my chololate lab Rome who is equal parts perfect angel and cheese goblin.
I created these courses because I wanted a structured but flexible way to keep learning — something that could fit into a busy life while still feeling meaningful. My goal is to make learning accessible, cozy, and inspiring for anyone who wants to grow, whether you’re sneaking in time after work, between parenting, or on a quiet evening with a notebook and tea.
